Installation Attentions for Fully Welded Ball Valve
1. Refer to the following figures, certify whether the installed fully welded steel ball valve is in line with the design requirement.
2. Remove the protection caps on boths ends, and check whether the valve opening is at fault or whether it is clean. If there's is any impurities between the groove and ball, eliminate it to avoid damange of sealing face of valve seat.
3. Certify whether a ball valve can operate well by opening and closing the ball valve several times.
4. Before install a ball valve on a pipeline, wipe off the welding surface of the pipe. During ball valve installation, no special attention needs to be paid to the direction of ball valve installation(either ends can be installed on the upstream end).
5.Open the ball valve to be welded to prevent welding slag form the internal valve.
6. During horizontal installation, open the valve completely to prevent electric spark damaging the ball surface when welding. During vertical installation, open the valve completely when welding the upper connections, and close the valve completely when welding the lower connections to avoid burning inside of the valve.
7. After welding, switch the valve after the valve is completely cooled.
8. During installation of turbine and worm actuator (valvesize: DN200 and the above or special order), adjust the open position of actuator referring to the indicating arrow (shut for close and open for open) according to the switching position of valve, and thus keep the actuator switching direction indicated by arrow can be the same as the switching position of valve, butt weld the actuator and the standard valve flange correctly, and adjust the stop bolt position when necessary to completely open or close the valve (open the black protective cap the bottom, lossen the fixing nut, and adjust the stop bolt by hexagon wrench, after screwing the fixing nut, install the black protective cap). Refer to the indicating arrow ( the arrow must completely horizontal or vertical).
